BENTONITE CLAY DETOXIFYING FACE MASK

Bentonite clay is my FAVORITE face mask ingredient for a tingly, detoxifying home spa experience! It is safe, natural and super effective for acne. The clay forms from volcanic ask (how cool) and contains calcium binding agents that pull out negatively charged toxins from your pores when mixed with water or apple cider vinegar. You'll feel super clean, clear, smooth, and a bit red afterwards- but don't worry that will calm down after about 30 minutes! Just goes to show that it's really doing something! Below is my go-to recipe. I do this about once a week, possibly twice if my skin is breaking out!

Detox Face Mask:

~1 Tbsp bentonite clay (I like the Aztec Secret brand)

~1 Tbsp water or apple cider vinegar for extra cleansing (I like the Bragg’s brand)

Slowly mix in the liquid to get a desired consistency. I like to use a silicone face mask applicator to mix and apply. This makes the application WAY easier than using your fingers.

Stay clear of mixing, storing or measuring with metal spoons or bowls. Bentonite clay will bind with the metal ions and thus become less affective at binding the toxins in your skin!
